Description: Using case studies of historical challenges to freedom and justice students will compare at least two cultural contexts to assess how different social beliefs and practices tend to inhibit and deny or support and nurture greater freedom and justice for all. Case studies may include service learning and will focus on themes including race/ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, and environmental justice.
