Description: Examination of leadership theories in the context of early childhood settings. Focus on the role of the leader as an advocate for justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion in anti-bias early childhood programs. Emphasis on the role of administration in program operations including curriculum development, program and teacher evaluation, assessment professional development, partnerships with families and community, hiring procedures, budgets, state and national standards, NAEYC accreditation, and licensing process/procedures. Requirements for the off campus activity includes Negative TB Skin Test (less than a year old), immunization record and Live scan fingerprinting. Some sites may have additional requirements.
