Emphasis is placed on normal growth and development, family dynamics, common pediatric disorders, and the promotion of healthy behaviors in patients and families, with the application of the nursing process and Neuman Systems Model. Focuses on children and adolescents with normal health needs, high risk conditions, common acute illnesses, including family well-being using evidence based practice.
