Prerequisite: Consent of instructor required for enrollement
Description: This course will explore dance composition and improvisation as a tool for building and understanding creative and expressive choreography. Students will investigate potential movement resources of the individual for performance and choreography. Freedom of movement will be encouraged and its relation to choreography will be explored. In this course students will become familiar and proficient in the selection of various musical forms to enhance or guide choreography. Students will also implement choreographic tools in conjunction with the spoken word and in silence.
