Biography

Andrew Morris joined CSUCI from Catawba College in North Carolina and The University of St. Thomas, Texas where he taught both undergraduate and graduate courses in business management. Dr. Morris received his Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior and International Management from the University of South Carolina in 1995.

His research interests include emotions in the workplace, emotional labor, and pedagogical applications of positive organizational scholarship. In addition to numerous publications and cases in leading business journals, Dr. Morris is also a published poet having recently earned top prize in a regional poetry contest. Outside the classroom, Dr. Morris is an avid (if slow) cyclist, backpacks around the globe (Peru, China, Egypt or his favorites), and/or volunteers with Habitat for Humanity.

During the 2019-2020 academic year, he was on Fulbright in Myanmar (Burma) and is currently at work on a book that explores Buddhism, merit-making, and its implications for Western leaders.
