Biography
Jared Barton is an experimental political economist, and if you're wondering what that means, take one of his classes and ask him! He earned a PhD in economics from George Mason University, an M.A. in economics from Miami University in Ohio (Miami was a university when Florida belonged to Spain, by the way), and a B.A. in economics from Denison University. He works on topics related to voting, political and non-political persuasion, and public goods provision.
Jared and his (way) better half, Christine, live in Camarillo. They spend their free time hiking, playing board games, cooking, and searching for the best restaurants in Ventura County and beyond. Jared also really likes talking about himself in the third person; Christine is less enthusiastic about this habit.
