Biography
I was born, raised and educated in Los Angeles. I received a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from UCLA in 1988. In 1999, I recieved a Masters of Library and Information Science degree, also from UCLA. I have worked at both public and academic libraries, most recently at Moorpark College and California Lutheran University libraries before coming to CI as a Reference and Instruction Librarian in 2004. I am a tenured Associate Professor and am currently Head of Public Services & Outreach for Broome Library at CI.
My research interests include information literacy, transliteracy, critical thinking, innovative assessment and polpular culture.
