Biography

Dr. Ashley Parks has worked in healthcare for the last fifteen years with experience in both hospital and health plan administration as well as academia and research. Her areas of interest and expertise include healthcare quality, performance improvement, finance, information technology, health services research, aging, and project management. Dr. Parks has varied research interests ranging from community based participatory research to air quality and environmental health to the application of ethical models in healthcare. Parks received her Doctorate in Public Health degree in Health Services Leadership from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. She also received a Masters in Technology Management from Georgetown University as well as her MBA from the competitive Smartly program and multiple certifications from the Harvard School of Business. Dr. Parks obtained her Master in Public Health degree and her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science from California State University, Fresno.

Professional education and mentorship are Dr. Parks’ passions as she enjoys working with students to craft their career strategies and create individual development plans helping them become more competitive in the employment market upon graduation. Dr. Parks herself has multiple certifications in healthcare and public health including the Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES), Certification in Public Health (CPH), Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Certified Professional Patient Safety (CPPS), Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (CLSSBB), Project Management Professional (PMP) and more.
