Biography
After immigrating from Indonesia, Udayabagya Halim started his passion for Chemistry after enrolling in community college. Udayabagya received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from UCLA. His doctoral research explores the chemical, vibrational, and physical properties of two-dimensional semiconducting materials. His work focuses on the organic intercalation of transition metal dichalcogenides and black phosphorus. As an educator, Udayabagya strives to provide students with a strong foundation and a deep understanding of the subject matter. He believes that learning requires a strong foundation and curiosity to apply new knowledge creatively and in meaningful ways.
