Biography

Dr. Mila Tabije-Ebuen is a full-time faculty in the Nursing and Health Sciences. She over 30 years experience in the acute care setting (Emergency Department (adult & pediatrics), Critical Care, Telemetry, DOU, and M/S) as a clinician, educator, and nurse leader. She still practices at a Level II Trauma Center in Ventura County. Dr. Ebuen obtained her BSN in the Philippines, MSN-NE from CSU Dominguez Hills, and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Ebuen travels all over the country teaching board certification reviews such as CCRN, PCCN, & CEN. She was the recipient of the DAISY Faculty Award for 2018 at the Pinning Ceremony.

She is a member of various professional organizations such as the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA); American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN); The Honor Society of Nursing; and Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI). Her vision is to ensure that health care providers are equipped with the knowledge and skills in enhancing patient outcomes. With her belief that nurses and student nurses play a critical role in enhancing patient outcomes, Dr. Ebuen continues to seek solutions and innovations. Her research interests are student engagement and satisfaction; technology in teaching and learning; technology and simulations in providing safe and quality care; best practice in the classroom and clinical education, and pain management and assessment to name a few. Cooking, playing/watching tennis, volleyball and golf are her hobbies. In addition, she loves teaching her husband and son to learn the Filipino language.
