Biography
Dr. Schulze is Lecturer and Adjunct Faculty Professor at the California State University Channel Islands teaching a broad range of biosciences-related subjects including Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Biopharmaceutical Drug Discovery and Development, Biosciences Global Program and Project Management, and Entrepreneurship Sciences. He is Senior Consultant Pharmaceutical Development Programs for Action For Results™ Inc., a specialty life sciences consulting firm, and Founder and President of TAON™ Biopharma Consulting Inc., a privately held specialty consulting firm providing Education - Drug Discovery - Consulting expertise to universities and biosciences companies. Dr. Schulze is an international R&D executive with significant R&D experience gained at BAYER, BAXTER, ALLERGAN, and AMGEN. His core expertise in Medicinal Chemistry, Program Management, R&D and Drug Commercialization is built on >10 years of managing several international, multi-disciplinary discovery, development and drug commercialization teams in 7 different therapeutic areas in Europe, US and Japan. He successfully managed internationally organized product commercialization teams for BAYER’s blockbuster CIPROXIN®, and BAXTER’s key brands ADVATE® and RECOMBINATE®. Prior to his international management roles, Dr. Schulze has held positions of increasing responsibility as Medicinal Chemist, Senior Research Scientist and Research Project Leader @ BAYER. Dr. Schulze received his PhD in Organic Chemistry from the Freie Universitaet Berlin, Germany and was awarded a Feodor Lynen Fellowship by the Alexander-von-Humboldt Foundation to work at the Scripps Research Insitute in San Diego, California. He is a member of the American Chemical Society (ACS) and Project Management Institute (PMI). Dr. Schulze is a PMI-certified Project Management Professional, and lives in Thousand Oaks, California.
