Biography

After high school I went to Fresno State College, didn't finish my BA but went to Guatemala as a Peace Corps Volunteer. Then went to USC where I got a Masters Degree in Education. Taught special needs students for several years, became a school principal in 1980.

In 1989, worked for IBM in Atlanta designing educational software, was a Peace Corps Deputy Director in the Dominican Republic, back to IBM teaching technology in the classroom, then back to Peace Corps as Country Director in Nicaragua in 1993. In 1995 back to education and a principalship in a Middle School in Oxnard, CA and then Mammoth Lakes, CA as Middle School Principal, then Inglewood, CA and then Santa Monica, CA as elementary school Principal.

I retired from all that in 2005, and am currently teaching at California State University -- Channel Islands in the teacher credential program. I teach three classes and I love my job.

I ride a Victory Vision Touring motorcycle whenever I can find some time to chase some wind.
