Description Movie/TV Viewing

Do you think slavery is a thing of the past? Think again. The modern day slave trade is happening here, and it's like a human meat market.

The idea is simple: Come/Eat/See/Hear/Dream

  • Come- a human trafficking awareness and response event
  • Eat- Enjoy complimentary appetizers while educating yourself on this social issue
  • See- The World Affairs Council of America is sponsoring a documentary screening of "Not My Life," a film discussing human exploitation in 5 different countries, including the U.S. For more in-depth information follow this link to a 3 minute preview of the documentary- http://notmylife.org/film-synopsis.
  • Hear- Chong Kim, an American woman who was trafficked will be here to share her story of being trafficked in the U.S.. We will also have an inspirational panel of guest speakers who will be available to answer any questions you might have and help point you in the right way to respond.
  • Dream- It's simple, take what you love and use if for justice

30 minute documentary screening + a 20 minute panel discussion with influential people in the field- a film writer, a student, the president of a non-profit organization, a photographer for justice, and most importantly a woman who has been trafficked and is now free. A couple hours of your time to educate yourself about the social problem and fight for justice while doing so.
